About

Introduction

For more than thirty-five years, Thierry Granturco has built an international career at the crossroads of law, governance, international relations, entrepreneurship and public leadership.

For more than three decades, he has advised governments, European institutions, international organisations, multinational corporations and business leaders on strategic issues involving international law, public policy, governance, regulatory transformation and cross-border negotiations.

His professional journey has never been confined to legal practice. Throughout his career, he has combined the roles of international lawyer, strategic adviser, entrepreneur, institutional builder and public leader, developing a multidisciplinary perspective that enables him to understand both the legal and operational dimensions of executive decision-making.

This combination of experiences has led him to contribute to projects of lasting institutional significance: creating international organisations, shaping European regulatory frameworks, supporting governments in strategic negotiations, transforming international sports governance and building a diversified investment group from inception to successful transmission.

His entrepreneurial experience complements this institutional background with first-hand knowledge of business development, investment, corporate governance, executive leadership and long-term value creation.

These diverse experiences have shaped a leadership approach founded on strategic thinking, sound judgement, institutional understanding, international negotiation and the ability to build consensus among stakeholders with different interests and responsibilities.

Today, Thierry Granturco brings this multidisciplinary perspective to boards of directors, executive leadership teams, investors, governments and international organisations facing strategic decisions in increasingly complex international environments.

Professional Philosophy

International legal matters rarely arise from purely legal questions.

They emerge where law, institutions, diplomacy, public policy, economics and strategy intersect.

Thierry Granturco’s professional approach is based on a simple conviction:
Law is not an objective in itself. It is an instrument for building sustainable solutions.

His role is to design legal, institutional and governance frameworks capable of reconciling legitimate but sometimes divergent interests, allowing governments, international organisations and private stakeholders to reach solutions that are legally sound, institutionally robust, politically acceptable, diplomatically credible, economically sustainable and operationally workable.
